Gayle graduated from the Carolina School of Massage Therapy in Carrboro, NC in 1996 and was one of the first therapists to receive an NC license. Gayle received a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from the University of NC-Chapel Hill and was a practicing CPA.
She later became interested in massage therapy and yoga, after living with chronic back pain after the birth of her first child. She discovered almost immediate relief from the therapeutics of receiving regular massage and learning to practice a variety of yoga poses, stretches and breathing techniques that has kept her out of pain ever since. Gayle later attended the NC School of Yoga Teacher Training and has taught several yoga classes with her emphasis on gentle yoga for pain management.
Gayle has practiced massage therapy for 24 years including 8 years as an instructor of Therapeutic Massage at Pitt Community College. She has significant experience teaching and performing massage therapy in the medical and hospital setting. She has received many certifications that include prenatal massage, reflexology and medical massage.
She practices with the belief system that no two people are alike, therefore no two massage therapy sessions should be alike. Each client receives a tailor made session to assist them with their pain or chief complaint.
