The Sports Center is expanding our Yoga program by offering more classes, workshops, private sessions and aerial Yoga. We encourage members to incorporate Yoga into their fitness regimen to balance or compliment other training. Yoga provides physical and mental benefits including increased flexibility, increase muscle strength and tone, improved respiration, energy and vitality, balanced metabolism, weight reduction, cardio and circulatory health, improved athletic performance, and protection from injury.
Yoga workshops, private sessions, and aerial Yoga are an additional expense not included in your general Sports Center membership and are open to non-members.
Apprehensive about Yoga or just curious? All levels are welcome and this is the perfect way to get started! Learn the basics so that you feel
comfortable in a Yoga class or refresh your practice by learning new things. We will break down common Yoga poses by applying alignment
principles, philosophy, and terminology. We will discuss the basics in the beginning and then apply them to a fun Yoga practice in the
Private sessions will be offered for participants who are interested in learning more about Yoga one on one. Private sessions allow for personalized Yoga catered to the individual's needs or goals.
Aerial Yoga utilizes the suspension system to take Yoga to a whole new level! Aerial Yoga is great for all fitness levels and is not offered anywhere else in town.
Amanda Connor's Yoga classes focus on alignment, safety and positivity. She is a graduate of the YogaWorks Teacher Training program, and has received her 200 hour certification. Amanda is passionate about the YogaWorks method as well as CSV Yoga and continues to honor her teachers as she grows and learns! Amanda is available to work one on one with members and non-members.
